UK small business essential services provider Verastar was the host for a recent successful ‘Forums on Tour’ networking event in conjunction with Call North West – a support network for all contact centre professionals in the North West of England.
Forums on Tour is a unique opportunity for contact centre leaders from across the UK to collaborate and share best practice and industry insight. Around 50 call centre leaders from attended the event at the Verastar’s headquarters in Sale, Manchester which was opened by Jane Thomas, Managing Director of Call North West and the South West Contact Centre Forum.
Stacey Clarke, Verastar’s Customer Care Director and Ivan Jones, Head of Learning & Development kicked off the event with a review of activity and learnings to support call centre colleagues and the positive results the programme has delivered to date.

Visitors also received an address from Lee Greaves – Reader in Physical Activity & Health from Liverpool John Moores University. Lee shared data findings from their studies into developing customer care employee engagement success. By understanding the socio-economic demographics of frontline staff, call centre leaders are better able to offer appropriate and relevant benefits and rewards.
Key Verastar employee programmes discussed during breakout sessions included: Community, Environment, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, Learning & Development and Quality Assurance.
